HF analyzer 1-60MHz MINI-60
Re: HF analyzer 1-60MHz MINI-60

Z= 47 pF/14.1 MHz;
MODE = 9-j46;
CAP = 0.0pF;
IND = 0.4µH

Dear all
Sorry to write in english, but my dutch isn't well enough to follow this thread in detail, and since there aren't any threads about the Mini60 in the german boards, I'm going to ask you a few things:
Does somebody know about this 2/3-frequency story; is that still an issue with recently bought devices?
How are you satisfied with it? Is it a solid device, also useable for the rougher surrounding outdoors, or just another plastic box?
Are there any other common troubles with the devices you own, something what you would say is an absolute no-go even for the moderate price?
Thanks in advance for your posts

Hello Pascal,HB9EVI schreef:How are you satisfied with it? Is it a solid device, also useable for the rougher surrounding outdoors, or just another plastic box?
Yes I am satisfied with the analyzer in a sturdy steel box. The frequency is stabile and correct, the output is a rather clean sine wave.
I have 3 analyzers: AW07A, VK5JST and MINI60. In the past I had RF1.
Mostly I used the MINI60 for HF, but what is accurate? See my SWR test with the analyzers.

Re: HF analyzer 1-60MHz MINI-60
Dag allen,

Re: HF analyzer 1-60MHz MINI-60
Hello,
first I like to excuse for writing in English.
Maybe I can help a little in relation to the Mini60.apk not connecting when a Bluetooth module has been retrofitted.
The reason for this problem is the MAC-Adress from the blutooth module.
There are certain MAC-Adresses coded in Mini60.apk and if one of these MAC-Adresses correspond to you Bluetooth module
it will be shown up in the Mini60.apk connect dialogue.
For me it looks like the Chinese manufacturer have not used the well known HC-06 module, but rather HC-05 module.
There is no AT-command in HC-06 firmware to set the MAC-Adress, but in HC-05 module it is.
You can change this Adress to what you want.
Because of the possibility to change the MAC-Adress this is a cheap way to make sure that no other modules can be used.
So they can sell also a bluetooth module separately and knowing it will work with the app because the MAC-Adress will match
with the app.
So we know now, there must be another way to make things work.
After little fiddling around with the app I found a way to replace the MAC-Adress in the app
and It works now with my HC-06 module.
Interested? Send me a PN.

Sigi Thanks !
That explains some of the problems getting it to work.
Maybe you can share te solution here.
How does the old firmware do the binding ? its a option in the newer firmware.

Re: HF analyzer 1-60MHz MINI-60
OK, I try to explain.
In Mini60.apk are 4 different MAC-Addresses hardcoded.
The seller from this module (assuming HC-05) http://www.ebay.de/itm/Bluetooth-Module ... 341100792? knows about this behavior and configured the MAC-Address of his module to match to one of the 4 MAC-addresses coded in Mini60.apk.
When using HC-06 module, MAC-Address could not be changed because AT+ADDR is not implemented.
The only way to change the MAC is by flashing firmware from HC-05. http://byron76.blogspot.com.au/2011/09/ ... wares.html
or (and this is the more simple way to make it work)
edit the Mini60.apk by changing 1 of the mentioned 4 addresses.
Therefore you need to disassemble the apk.
This picture shows the original addresses.
After editing you have save the changes and reassemble the project.
After all went right you can install the changed file to your android device.
If I could, I would change the Bluetooth part in apk, to show up all paired serial devices.
But I am not a software guy.
Maybe I try to study the Bluetooth programming part.
Any further questions?
Don't know whats about copyright and so on.

Its a ripoff from the sark100 anyway but your right.DH1KLM schreef:Don't know whats about copyright and so on.
Thanks Sigi probably some will bennefit from this.
I dont have the none bt anymore so i can't try.
But i do use the bt version allot easy to use with phone or tablet.
Only thing it need is bt antenna mod to get range.

You are right, EA4FRB stated Open Source Hardware (no commercial use)pe5jw schreef: Its a ripoff from the sark100 anyway but your right.
but the android software is written by BG9ABA. I already try to contact BG9ABA, but
no luck so far.
When someone needs help with this, please feel free to contact me.
Because of the analyzers metal housing the only mod I can imaginepe5jw schreef:Only thing it need is bt antenna mod to get range.
is to mount a SMA antenna connector and use a external antenna.
